Every FSU student who has stepped foot into the Student Union has met Ms. Killings. Her warm embrace, signature “Hi, my Baby,” and loving smile are trademark features of our student body. Ms. Killings’ impact on our university has been unrivaled. Former Student Body, Chapter, and Association Presidents all sing the graces of Ms. Killings and the effect she carried far into their alum years. Ms. Killings, also known as the “Ambassador of Love,” has been recognized through many opportunities and organizations on campus. Her name decks a plaque in Suwannee Dining, a hallway where she embraced her babies. A nominee for Tallahassee Democrat’s Person of the Year, the Oglesby Award, a great acknowledgment of her outstanding customer service in Forbes magazine, and a recent Award of Excellence from the FSU Student Senate amongst many other accolades. Ms. Killings’ impact goes as far as a GIF available to all 1.44 billion users of Instagram, gracing her signature smile and warm embrace. After forty-seven years of serving, individuals across campus are looking to honor Ms. Killings via a ‘Love and Appreciation Celebration tailgate kickoff.’ Please donate and/or join us on Friday, November 25, 2022, to celebrate Ms. Killings. The celebration is being held in the new Student Union which aims to raise money for the FSU icon/legend and future endeavors for her foundation.
